Hi, I'm ANNA
I’m a women’s health physiotherapist and Pilates teacher with 16 years of professional expertise under my belt. I have a lifetime of fascination with anatomy and physiology, and a bit of a bee in my bonnet about improving women’s health and wellbeing!
I’m a proud midlife mum myself, who has been through all the ups and downs. The juggle, changes and challenges of pregnancy, motherhood, and beyond. Physiotherapy and Pilates are the tools I used to help myself, and many of the women I have worked with over the years.
Whether you are transitioning to motherhood or through menopause let me help you overcome barriers and reclaim your active healthy body for the future
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a specialist evidence-based treatment for patients who have symptoms such as pain or stiffness caused by a disorder or injury of the musculoskeletal system (joints, muscles, nerves, ligaments, tendons, cartilage). Women can experience changes to the resilience of tissues at different life stages due to hormonal influences, stress and the ageing process.
women's health physiotherapy
Women’s health physiotherapy specialises in all things pelvis and core related for women at all stages of life including perinatal and perimenopause. Pelvic health issues can include bladder and bowel problems, pelvic floor dysfunction and prolapse. Pregnancy and birth can require time and support to ensure proper physical and emotional recovery from C-section, diastasis recti and perineal trauma. With all my patients I treat the whole woman with my understanding of her anatomy, physiology and the emotional and social context of her life.
Pilates is a gentle but powerful form of exercise that helps to improve strength, balance, coordination and mobility. My approach blends traditional and therapeutic Pilates principles with current evidence and my understanding of my clients’ needs and abilities. I encourage mindful and exploratory participation in order to truly empower each woman within their own body and mind.
