I’ve been teaching Pilates Classes in York for 12 years and during that time I’ve taught so many lovely individuals not just better movement, but a better connection with their amazing bodies and minds. I have helped all ages from twenty-something cross-fitters to 95 year-old hikers! Across the age spectrum there are clients with arthritis, back pain, shoulder pain, pelvic pain, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, Pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy, post-natal, osteoporosis, scoliosis, rheumatoid arthritis, metal plates, hips, knees and shoulders! The common thread is a desire to move better and the most important prerequisite is curiosity and patience. Pilates is a practice and knowing your body is a skill many of us learn or relearn throughout life.
